The Williams family announces legal action against the person who accused them of misappropriation: "They're trying to coerce us into making an improper payment."

Athletic Club captain and star brothers Nico and Iñaki Williams claimed on Thursday that they have been falsely accused of embezzlement. The brothers issued a statement saying they plan to take legal action against the person who made the accusation.

"We can confirm that a complaint has been filed against us based on facts that do not correspond to the truth," the forwards stated in a letter posted on social media.

"Given this situation, we categorically deny having committed any crime. There is no factual or legal basis to support the allegation of criminal conduct. Furthermore, the complaint filed deliberately conceals and distorts the actual events that occurred," they added. "It is evident that the underlying purpose of this unfounded complaint is to undermine our personal and professional image, seeking to coerce us into making an improper payment," they continued.

The Williamses said they are not concerned about the charges because they did nothing wrong and have faith in the legal system.

Apparently, a private individual accused them of misappropriation of a high-end vehicle, the amount allegedly being paid to the person making the complaint.
